Big news: I am moving to Philadelphia in February 2027! It’s been a real treat working for many wonderful Washingtonians over the past 20 years.
I will begin scheduling projects in Philly in February. I am excited to take on all sorts of great projects and meet new folks!
I have over 20 years of experience crafting unique pieces for old row homes and other city dwellings full of character and their own quirks. I specialize in built-in storage and furniture designed for their specific space and the people who live there.

Testimonials
Matt is an artistic designer and professional builder! He listened and considered my perspectives, provided helpful input, and designed my built-in book wall from scratch. He is a very easy communicator who is easy to reach out to and talk to, he has magic hands and he does neat work. I am very happy about what he made for me. It’s one of the nicest pieces in my place!

Matt has done spectacularly beautiful work for us in three homes now. His work is a showstopper. If you want an expertly finished unique project, Matt is your guy.

Matt has done several projects (closet built ins, breakfast bar, wet bar with custom drawers fitted around a radiator) for me over the past 6-7 years and all exceeded expectations! He is a master craftsman and always translates my visions into more beautiful woodwork than imagined. He’s a creative genius and reasonably priced for the level of work and craftsmanship he brings. The latest project was a live edge walnut countertop that waterfalls over the edge of the cabinets and it literally looks like the wood melted right onto the cabinets the joining is so fantastic. I can’t recommend Matt highly enough. Enthusiastic 5 stars!
